Nancy Curtin Chief Investment Officer |
Nancy was appointed CIO of Close Asset Management in 2010. She was previously CIO at Fortune (a Close subsidiary since 2006), and she has over 20 years' experience encompassing senior roles in asset management, private equity and hedge fund investing.
Prior to joining Fortune, Nancy was Managing Director of Schroders Investment Management NA and Head of Global Investments for its $20bn Global Mutual Fund Businesses. She was also CEO of Internet Finance Partners, a venture capital business of Schroders Plc. She has also previously worked at Baring Asset Management as Head of Emerging Markets, Member of European Investment and Asset Allocation Team. She has been a senior portfolio manager at Rho Asset Management, where she managed the firm's assets across a range of strategies and developed Rho's private equity businesses in Berlin, after the fall of the Berlin Wall. She has also worked for Credit Suisse First Boston and began her career as a Financial Analyst for Morgan Stanley. Nancy holds a bachelor's degree in political science, summa cum laude, from Princeton University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

John Marshall |
John Marshall is a Senior Multi Asset Class Manager and has been managing money on behalf of clients for Close and its predecessor organisations since 1997. His responsibilities include relative return and target return multi-asset mandates, both in the UK and offshore. John joined Finsbury Asset Management in 1997, transferring within the Rea Brothers Group into the Investment Management Division the following year. Following the completion of his post graduate studies and prior to working in investment management, he worked in the computer research and development industry. John is a graduate of Trinity College, Cambridge, an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals (ASIP) and a certified holder of the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies (EFFAS) Diploma.

Tommy Garvey |
Tommy Garvey has worked for Close since February 2007, as a member of the multi manager team responsible for long only and hedge fund manager selection. Prior to working for Close, Tommy worked for Aon from November 2001 until February 2007. He joined Aon as a Senior Investment Consultant to work primarily with many of Aon's larger clients. He was also a key member of the team that drove the launch of Aon's manager-of-managers service, AAM. Tommy has a broad range of investment and investment manager selection experience, having previously worked at Towers Perrin and Hymans Robertson (where he was also Head of Asset and Liability modelling). Tommy Garvey is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and has been an assistant examiner for the Actuarial Fellowship Investment Examination.

Matthew Stanesby
|
Matthew graduated from Nottingham University with a BSc in Mathematics with Engineering. He has 18 years experience in the Actuarial and Investment Consulting arena working within the life insurance, pensions and investment teams at both Mercer and Aon. He has had a variety of roles and is part of the team responsible for the research, selection and monitoring of fund managers. He is a part qualified Actuary and holds the Investment Management Certificate. |

Paul Chapple

A graduate of Royal Holloway College, University of London, Paul has over ten years industry experience. After graduating, he joined Fidelity Investments and in August 2002 joined Aon Consulting. Paul has held a variety of roles including undertaking manager research and selection. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a Member of the Securities Institute and a Member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals. |

Mark Parry

Mark Parry is a Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income at Close Asset Management. He began his investment career in 1989. Prior to joining Close in 2006, Mark was Head of Inflation Bonds at Schroeder's. Previously he was Head of UK Fixed Income at PIMCO Europe and a Partner at SBC Brinson. He is a graduate in Economics and Computer Science from The City University, London.

Godwin Tsui |
Godwin Tsui is Managing Director and Head of Structured Investments at Close Asset Management, having previously been responsible for derivative and quantitative fund management at Close Investments and Close Fund Management. Prior to this, Godwin spent four years at Barclays Global Investors as a derivatives fund manager, developing derivative strategies and managing derivative funds. He also worked in corporate finance at BZW, focusing on real estate debt and equity financing and advisory transactions. Godwin is professionally qualified as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment (FSI) and as an Associate of the CFA Society of the UK (ASIP).
